Derma-e one of the largest natural facial care brands in the U.S. — and our passion for health, wellness and environmental sustainability is still growing strong. Each of our eco-ethical products is rooted in our belief that skin health can be visibly improved through the right combination of potent vitamins, wholesome nutrients and nature’s most effective ingredients. 
Their 100% vegan, cruelty-free formulas do not contain parabens, sodium lauryl sulfates, petrolatum, mineral oil, artificial colors, gluten, soy or GMOs.

Challenge

On the shelf of the skincare brands and serums, the packaging of derma-e doesn’t stand out because of it’s generic pharmaceutical look and feel. It lacks an identity that will help it be different from the other brands around it. The price is above the drugstore brand but that does not reflect on the packaging, Along with that a system can be developed to help users sequence the products offered by Derma-e as there is a wide range of products available on the shelf. It needs hierarchy refresh, as well as solid identity that will help it convey the brand values and expose users to it visually.

Approach

The approach would be the give the brand a refresh and a personality it is lacking at the moment. Integrate the brand values and expressing it as effective and worth the price product, that feels thoughtful and logical.
